About Block Circle Tools
This is a free, independent site with tools for Minecraft builders. It draws block circles, ovals, spheres and domes, and it converts Nether portal coordinates. A small team of players and web developers runs it.
How we build the shapes
Every shape uses one simple rule. A block is part of the shape when its center point is inside the true circle, oval or ball. Outlines keep only the blocks that touch empty space. All of the math runs in your browser, so nothing is sent to us.
Before each release, a set of automated tests checks the math. The tests confirm that every shape is the same on all sides, that row counts add up to the total, that the middle layer of a sphere matches a filled circle, and that thin circles line up with the classic midpoint circle algorithm.
Where the game facts come from
The Nether rules on this site come from the Minecraft Wiki and Minecraft.net. That covers the 1 to 8 scale, the search area in each edition, and the frame sizes. We do not guess. Each fact links to its source, and we check the pages again when a big game update comes out.
